That's quite pricey for the K version! Someone was selling K 50mm 1.2 locally for $250 but I passed on that. However, I did see one go for $100 here on the forum, it had fungus, but I mean whatever, now I was kicking myself in the head for missing that deal.

That's a good price for an A version, but I'm not sure it's such a good price for a K version.

I have been watching this lens for years. Price is average for the K-version. Seems like the condition is very good.

261 for K series in good shape is a good price IMO. In UK the prices are going for 225-299 so the seller is practically slap bang in the middle of that range.

I personally won't pay that kind of money for a non-PKA lens.

I saw an 150/1.2 go with an old film body on ebay for $250 recently. In fact, I was winning with a bid at $225 until the last minute. I didn't have the $$ on hand to pay more for it. It was a steal.

I just bought a K50/1.2 (it arrived yesterday) for US$250 shipped. Non-eBay, this time. Other than being underwhelmed by its performance, it was in great condition, and I feel it was a good deal. Now I must convince myself that it was worth the price.

I tend to own more than one of identical, especially the 50s ;-)

Gosh, I never thought of that!!
[/irony]

The guy who sold it to me was offing two 50/1.2's, this SMC-K and a Rokkor. So he could buy a Nokton 50/1.1. Maybe that's my migration path? But the K50 should do well on one of my FF film SLRs. Hey, it just arrived yesterday! It's kind of early to be planning its departure already. Maybe next week...

I'm not sure of your plan but I'm very happy with my A version. the great thing about the A is I could close aperture by small 1/3 increments, thus not sacrificing too much shallow DOF and exposure. I find mine still display a nice DOF at f1.8.
