I used to be indecisive, but I'm not now..

..I think

I would very much appreciate your opinions on my latest bout of indecisiveness!

I have:
K5
18-55WR
DA21 3.2
DA35 2.8 Macro

Ultimately I'd like to add:
DA15 4
DA40 2.8
DA70 2.4

And, I'd like to replace the 18-55 with the 18-135 at some point as a walkabout zoom

So, what should I get next?

Should I go for one of the Limiteds next - if so which one?
Or get the 18-135 next?

My other half recently started showing some interest in pics - so I gave her my Panasonic GF1 + 20 1.7 expecting to be able to use it from time to time - but guess what.. I can't get it out of her hands!

So should I replace that with a high end compact for slipping in the pocket instead?

As for what I like to shoot - bit of everything actually, I've started a couple of threads recently with shots from the 21 and 35 which shows the type of stuff I like shooting best..

Ugh, I'm so indecisive me. Any opinions greatly received..
Once I make a decision I promise I'll post some samples!

If maximizing reach is more important to you (especially when walking around) I would get the 18-135 next. If reach is not so important to you, I would get the DA 70 next.

Skip the DA 40 altogether since you have the 35mm... get the 70 next (best DA ltd. IMHO).

Two votes for the 70 so far.. I'm beginning to sense a theme!

Another for the DA70

I will cast my vote for the DA70 as well. It is my second most used lens behind the FA31 but you already have the 'normal' FOV covered with your 35mm. After that is my 100mm Macro but I don't really like shooting wide as much.

Hey, You've got time to buy that walkabout zoom. DA70 is the best choice for this month I guess

I would say it depends on what you shoot most often.. if you shoot indoors at all, I would add the DA 70 since its a much faster lens than the kit and the 18-135mm, and adds some range over your kit lens. If your mainly outdoors or in decent lighting, the 18-135mm is a decent lens for an all purpose WR lens. I unfortunately just missed out on a DA70 for $350 locally.. by 3 hours!

if your other half is also using a camera, I think that you should definitely focus on buying her a Pentax sir body, that way your monthly budget to spend on lenses will multiply drastically!!! Over a candle lit dinner tell her all about the amazing limited lenses that Pentax produces, and the equally mind blowingly fantastic photos they take (especially the fast glass in low light situations...such as candle lit dinners). The following morning you will be able to buy every limited ever made...
...for the WR or DA* lenses, please repeat the above procedure in the rain.
