Yes, searching completed listings is a good way to determine pricing for your items on Evilbay. Yes, it helps if you understand what you are comparing.

What's the problem? It's a bit high for that particular lens, but not too outrageous if it's in really good condition.

Brand is Canon, just a little mistake in checking the wrong box. Don't see what the big deal is, the pictures are really what describe the item. Like you have never seen something listed wrong on ebay? I bet if I had the time I could find 1,000/day.

I guess he realized his mistake - it was originally listed with a buy-it-now price of $649 USD. Yes, it's much more reasonably priced now!

Well he still claims the lens is made by Canon for some Canon mount. The pictured lens is no Canon though .
