my new "sleeper" lens

as some of you know, I picked up a Sanwa 80-200 f4 macro lens. I tell you it really turned out to be a sweet lens! what a bargan at 10 dollars

here are some shots...
all shot wide open with shutter speeds between 80-160/sec. using monopod for stability, image stablization at 200mm. most are shot close to 200mm.

this one: Manual exposure, 1/80 sec, ISO 640

Manual exposure, 1/100 sec, ISO 800

Manual exposure, 1/100 sec, ISO 800

Manual exposure, 1/100 sec, ISO 800

Manual exposure, 1/100 sec, ISO 1000

Manual exposure, 1/160 sec, ISO 800

all indoors, thanks for looking

cheers

Some of those cheap 80-200's, especially the f/4's, are pretty sweet. That is the country of origin of your Sanwa? I ask because of my experience with some Korean-made zooms -- vastly underrated!

the lens is made in japan. really tight and smooth. different from my other lenses.... push out to zoom out, push in to zoom in (opposite to my sigma 17-70)
also, when the lens is at 80mm, you can turn the focus ring extra so it will close focus for macro, and only does it at 80mm. this will let me focus in to around 8-12" as a guess. a first for me as well

cheers
