How close can the 300mm f/4 takumar focus?

There are a few variations of this lens around -- super-takumar, super mulit coated takumar, SMC takumar, Pentax-m etc.

Are they all the same in focus distance and how close can they focus?

I have the SMC - Pentax (K mount) lens which focuses to 13 feet or 3.5 meters approximately.

In our lens review database, we don't unfortunately list anywhere the lens specifications for the takumar

super takumar M42 is 18'/5.5m
it's something i don't like about it. if i need closer focusing i use the tamron 300/2.8 that focuses as close as 8'
the A*300/4 was about 12-13'

Roy is right there.

I don't know how often the animal has been 17' away from me, and gotten pi$$ed off at me for moving further away
