Gemini 28-80 Zoom Macro Lens

Can anyone provide some information about this lens "Gemini 28-80 Zoom Macro Lens" please. The lens is currently fitted to Pentax K Mount film camera and I am checking to see if I can use this on my Pentax K-x.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Never heard of it.
And I'm in the lens trade on eBay, so it's pretty obscure.
That's OK -- many obscure lens brands exist.
They're mostly rebrands from a few churn-them-out lensmakers.
The optics LIKELY won't be first-rate, MIGHT be last-rate, PROBABLY are OK, for casual use.

Dog knows, I've bought enough "just OK" cheap lenses.
After a few months, I sell them for a profit. Usually.

My lens-buying rules are:
* If it's cheaper than a hamburger, buy it.
* If it's more than a good pizza, think hard about it.
* If it's more than a fancy dinner, ask many questions here!

Yes, your PK-mound lens will work on your Kx.
It might, but probably doesn't, have the infamous RICOH PIN -- search topics here for details.
If it's a totally manual lens, with no lens-base contact pins, don't worry.

If you haven't used old manual lenses before:
* Set the USING APERTURE RING custom menu item to PERMITTED.
* Read the sticky on using manual lenses.

Thanks for the info. I really appreciate that. Here's the link to the ad I was referring to. Pentax K Mount Camera With 28-80 Zoom Macro and Pro Flash

I guess I'll stay away from this one.

Oooh, a potato-masher flash! Perfect for crushing small animals! I just checked eBay's Completed Listings. That Sunpak 622 is worth US$60++. The K1000 is worth maybe US$15-20. The lens might fetch as much as US$15. If I was travelling near Nashville instead of Santa Fe, I'd buy and resell for a good profit.

Oops. I didn't take accurate notes. Well, it would still be useful on your next trip to New Orleans, to smash giant roaches. I hear they're about the size of tabby cats there.
