Carl Zeiss T* lenses

Here there are shots from Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 2/28 ZK lens. Sharp and well build lens. It is 28mm and have quite nice bokeh.

Second Carl Zeiss lens is converted using Leitax mount Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* 2.8/135. In my opinion better than Pentax K135/2.5 or Leica 135/2.8 lenses.

I love this lens. In my opinion it is better than the FA 31 Limited I use to have. Seems to have a little less color fringing, similar sharpness, excellent bokeh, better colors, MF is much nicer, and much better build quality. Only two disadvantages are no AF and slightly larger. And when I found it it was $300 less than the price of the 31 Limited. This allowed me to sell my 31 used for the same price as a new Zeiss distagon 28 2.0!

I was debating the 135 before I bought a FA 135, for that focal length I wanted AF. I don't have the FA135 yet but I think it was the right decision.

nice images, I didn't really like the ZF series lenses because they tend to suffer from bad flare, My voigtlander 58mm f/1.4 on my D3s flares worse than any of my other nikkor lenses - which perform worse in regards to flare than any of my pentax lenses do.

here is an interesting fact, the pentax K 28mm f/2 is basically the same as the Zeiss T*28mm f/2

Well, it is the same optical formula, yes.

My Zeiss ZK mount 28 2.0 is very flare resistant, did you have the 28? I would think ZF and ZK mounts would still be the same lens. Much better than the Canon 24-70 2.8 L I owned years back.

Beautiful shots, especially the one with the Zeiss 135mm.

Looks like the Zeiss ZK 28mm f/2 produces great images even in closeups, but I wanted a more compact lens so instead got the Zeiss 28mm f/2.8 C/Y mount lens and awaiting the Leitax kit to arrive...can't wait

Gorgeous shots Piotr !

I also have the 28/2.8 and the 135/2.8, plus the 85/1.4 and I've just picked up the CZ 35-70/3.4. I'm officially head over heels in love with Zeiss lenses (the 180/2.8 is next up) !

Zeiss describe that zoom as sharper at any FL than their primes ! These are the first shots I've taken with it (in the car-park waiting for my wife to come out of Media Markt today) - OMG this thing is sharp and produces superb contrast ! These are DNG imported into Aperture and exported to a folder (those with text were also imported into Skitch for that purpose). No PP at all.

I was trying to elicit flare in this shot

Great stuff. Did you perform Leitax conversion on those T* lenses?

No in China it's really easy to get a PK mount fitted to many lenses, it costs around US$35 - $50.

It was even cheaper in Vietnam. I got a Topcon converted to PK for merely $10 just to test, it worked well, however I was too chicken to do the same with my 'precious' Zeiss T* 85/1.4

I use my T* lenses exclusively on my Canon 30D but would love to get them on my Pentax bodies somehow...

Looks good, the 35-70/3.4 is legendary....i was always interested if there is any truth in their marketing statement that it is equal to their primes. Unfortunately I think Leitax doesn't convert this lens to PK here in Europe.
Here is the interesting comparison of lenses featuring Contax Zeiss 35-70/3.4:
