A new way to eliminate yellowing from a lens

I had a 50 mm f1.4 Super-Takumar that I sold to a fellow who liked the yellowing. I told him of the UV light trick to get lessen the yellowing by placing the lens in a sunny location (preferably not behind a window which in itself, cuts out some of the UV efficiency).
I did find another interesting solution.

Brian Ayling's photographic repair tips

Yes, the yellowing in the glass disappears in microseconds using this technique.

And you probably would inhale the radioactive glass dust.

Oh yeah, I've seen this before. Quite kinetic, eh?

There are easier ways: Paint the glass white. Or scrub it with toothpaste. Remember the jingle?

I hope everyone has noted that no less than a sledgehammer with a violent swing was required to take down a Takumar.

I have seen this also; that guy needs to be locked up with the key thrown away for "Takumar Abuse"!
