Yesterday I put my DA*55mm on my K-5 Silver for the first time. Did the lenscorrection test and it scared the hell out of me! Correction is +10 wich is the biggest number I ever had to use. But then again, it is crisp sharp, so I'm lucky again.
I'm on +8 on K-7
but it's worth it

I think I'm a +8 too (on K-5)...

I was out in the rain with my kit on Saturday, and it was nice not to be so worried (as I usually am with non-weather-sealed gear). I ended up having problems with my car, which caused me to be in a fowl mood that resulted in me deleted most of the photos, however I did save one...

+8 on my previous K-5, +6 on my current K-5. Needing a fairly large adjustment seems to be quite common with the DA*55 from what I've read.

I'm running +8 on my FA 50 1.4. I think it's normal for this aperture and Pentax (k20d).

PS you have my dream lens - congrats!

I've considered offering up my FA43 in the marketplace in trade for the DA* 55. I love the 43, but 55 is a more comfortable FL for me.

I did exactly the same, got rid of 43 and 77 and replaced them by 55. Never befriended 77, liked 43 but it always felt tad short. 55? In May (my first full month owning the DA*) I shot (keepers only) 106 shots between 24+31+100 and 182 shots with the 55. Enough said
