i found this Vivitar 90mm 2.8 (Komine) for around $100 and use it for all my macros. I think it is also branded as Panagor or some others, but a very good lens for the money.

Here's one with the Viv90/2.8:

Wow, Mike, that is great!

I would throw the macro-takumar 50mm f/4 as a great sleeper macro lens. Not that fast, and you have to mess with the adapter, but it will go to 1:1 and IQ is quite nice. Too short for the OP, maybe.

I can't argue with those recommending the M 100/4 macro. If you want to stay in the Pentax brand this one fits all your criteria. Although I prefer the extra reach of the 100mm the M 50/4 macro is also a stellar performer. I have this lens and if it is not the sharpest optic in my collection it is a close second.
