Wider than 55 WR lens? Streeter's paradise!
Living in London I don't get many torrential downpours but rain is very frequent occurrance. I've learned to love DA*55 for all it's aspects although I think in certain things 50/1.2 is better. Anyway, after trying about 30 odd lenses over last 4 years (including, FA&DA ltds, original Ks etc), I have to say that the best metch for 50ish Fl for streets is 24. So at the moment I'm using FA*24. If they'd make it DA*24/2 I'd be over the moon! If they'd make DA*28/2 I'd most probably grab it too, and one lens I would be interested too would be DA*26/2. This would mimic 40/2.8 on FF and since Pentax officials said they'd be doing quirky focal lenghts, this would make a lot of sense for them. And besides, it would sit exactly half way between DA21 and FA31!
As for those who don't see the merit of shooting in the rain or other adverse conditions(dust, snow etc), why bother to explain them...let them live in the dark, believing the best pictures are taken at mid day with sun at your back
