I took the plunge. I will have an FA 31mm f1.8 Ltd arriving tomorrow. I hope it lives up to its reputation.
Congratulations! (and it does, just give yourself time to learn it's ways)

Will I be able to hear the Pixie Dust if I shake it?

No! Don't do that, pixie dust is fragile and fleeting.

For starters, put it on your camera and then read the manual

For starters, put it on your camera and then read the manual start shooting. (This is no time to read the manual!)

One of the first things to learn about this otherwise magnificent lens is that the built-in lens hood is virtually useless. I highly recommend modifying your lens with a 58-->55mm stepdown ring and a short (e.g. 20mm) straight metal hood to which the OEM lens cap will fit perfectly. It makes the lens slightly longer, but not enough to really matter. There is no vignetting with a hood of this length. Having done this myself, I simply leave the hood on the lens full-time. You can get these items at B&H or on eBay.

Is there no vignetting on a full frame film camera?
