The only Ltd lens I have is the FA77. Actually my comment doesn't count since I don't have the DA15 for direct comparison.
However I am watching the '15Ltd control my mind' thread and got impressed by the IQ, especially the edges. Newer lenses seem to have better CA control and better edge sharpness. The T15AL does have extreme good flare control. (edit: but both DA12-24 and Sigma8-16 are as good, I can't tell)
I have mostly used the T15AL on film bodies only. The DA15 is lighter, newer coating, seems like at least equal or better IQ than the T15AL, but I am using DA12-24 @15 and the Sigma 8-16 @15, and won't need the DA15 or DA14.
On film, the T15AL also has vignette. Vignette should not look as a bad feature if I can manage to use it in landscape or stopping down a bit. Watching landscape slides from this lens in close distance is an awesome experience.
I still have it after 30 years...
