Oh, darn. You had me all excited; I was thinking OLED, not LED backlit LCD. *sigh*. My Cinema Displays are LED backlit, but I've been hoping for an OLED display for three years, ever since I saw a 20" demo panel at a trade show. It was *stunning*.

That is a big monitor though - thats like TV size, I guess that size is good for corporate boardrooms and such.

I'm sure not this one: the contrast is too low. It's typical for LED display to have at least 100,000:1 contrast, but they are actually about 1,000,000:1

Heeh! Dot pitch it a little low!

The 20" OLED display panel I saw was full 1080P HD at 20". Three years ago they said it would be $10k to take it to production, but they expected to get that down to $1k in five.

nice comparison Daniel....pity you didn't throw in any Pentax 20mm. from those samyang looks great to me, but it has so long focusing throw it is helluva lens to focus

re focusing throw what is wrong with 270 degrees for a lens that has abouot 100 feet DOF. You really don't even need to focus, do you?

I agree - every piece of samyang glass I have come across seems to be great, even the older no name brands of lenses that samyang has manufactured. Love my 8mm samyang, and my Viv'ee 85mm 1.4 (samyang glass) is stellar!!!

Looking to get one of the 14mm samyang FE's, trying to hold out and see if there will be a Viv'ee branded one (slight obsession with the Viv'ee name), I will also be getting the 35mm 1.4 samyang glass as soon as that is readily available...

The trouble with Samyang is distortion which can be a killer. I haven't experimented with PTlens yet to see how well it can be corrected but pics from sunset with a bowl-like horizon to architectural with arches where straight lines are meant to be to interiors where perspective is just wrong and things are "falling off the table" don't make very nice pics, even with all the sharpness.

Martin, I don't think I can buy any more ultra-wides. Eight is enough!!

I have the vivitar version. It's marketed as a 13/2.8

Distortion is easy to fix either in pentax photo lab of in corel PSP X3. These are the two programs I use

Lowell, can you point me in the right direction of this lens? I can not seem to find it in pentax mount, I can only seem to find it in canon and nikon mount - peep'd ebay, amazon and b&h - love to get my hands on this...

Personally, I like some of the distortion the lens adds to the pics...
