- Would be expensive to develop and I doubt it would sell highly
- AF? I can't imagine an auto focus system being remotely accurate with an f/1 lens at closer distances.
- The current trend seems to be focusing on high sensitivity, so I would imagine not too many people would be interested (except for us freaks here on PF
)
- Say it costs something like $1000-1500. Wouldn't the already extremely fast 50/1.2 seem more appealing, costing something like $400-600?
I'm a fan of more faster lenses in general, but I think faster than f/1 is unrealistic
