Well that is the big question I think everyone has for Ricoh.

If you didn't put in your wishes on the poll then this is the moment. Rounding off coming week.

I do believe I listed a few lenses a few months ago in this list. My wants/needs haven't changed any for the past few years. I have the following Pentax lenses; DA14, DA15 Ltd, DA21 Ltd, FA31 Ltd, DA35 Ltd Macro, FA35/2.0, FA43 Ltd, DFA50 Macro, DA*55, DA 70 Ltd, FA77 Ltd, DFA100 Macro (both versions), DA*200, DA*300, DA*16-50, DA17-70, DA*50-135, DA*60-250. Both Limited lens line are great. I should buy the DA40 Ltd just to complete the Limited lens line. Still it really doesn't serve my needs so I haven't. The DA* zooms are good lenses but could be better in both Image quality and quality built. Still very good work horse lenses.

What I waould love to see are:
1. A high-end super-wide weather-sealed zoom. Something like a DA*8-16 (most likely a f4.0 lens.)

2. A high-end super-telephoto lens that at least can get to 300mm. A DA*135-300 f2.8 would be great. Even a f4.0 would be ok but would like something a little faster maybe a f3.2.

3. A 1.4X weather-sealed high-end TC.

4. A high-end weather-sealed and fast normal lens. Maybe something like a DA*28 f1.8 or a DA*30 f 1.4. With Pentax odd focal lenghts and f-stops maybe a DA*29/f1.5. :-)

5. A DA*400/4.5 or DA*500/5.6 super-telephoto prime.

Re-introduce the whole FA* lens line-up would be great.

A new DFA* lens-line-up with a 12-24, DA*24-70 and DFA*70-200 would be great.

Anyhow, good luck with sending the list up to Pentax/Ricoh folks.

Dave

My choice was not on there--DA18 F2.8 in a compact package. There are many ways to get to 18mm at F4, but only way to get to F2.8 in the Pentax line is with the DA* 16-50.

I miss my old friend the 28mm/F2.8 on film.

You have a fantastic lenscollection! Your wishes are also very interesting! If only there where more buyers of those hi-end lenses then there would be more of them.

Thanks for al the votes, I never had thought we would reach 450 (or even 500) voters when I started this, but it would be nice now it is within fingers reach!

Interesting to see the outcome of the poll. I'm really very surprised that most people would want teleconverters, adding extra layers of glass, decreasing IQ... I had not expected that outcome at all.

If the 1.4x TC is on par with the A1.4X-L TC, when shot with good glass, I'm not sure the quality suffers.

I'd love to see a modern soft focus lens in the 50-55mm range for portraits.

Yes, Cannon still makes a soft focus lens, and its even autofocus. I prefer the look of a soft focus lens to that of filters or photoshop work.

Can you explain what the difference in the end result is?

You're not the only one. Hence my votes for which came closest, the 18/4 and the 20/2.2.

And the other vote went to was the 135-400; 300 of the 55-300 is sometimes a bit short and my wife usually takes that lens anyway.

Just a bump, since there are new poll entry's.

Reaching 500 poll entry's would still be great.
