I'm not 100% sure on this (and I welcome any and all corrections), but as far as I know the name Takumar is only associated with screwmount lenses (both M42 and the earlier M39) of various flavours, such as Auto Takumar, Super Takumar etc.

The first bayonet lenses were the K series, and would be identified as SMC Pentax 50mm 1:1.4 for example. Later series lenses (M & A) would add the lens series letter into the lens name, so an M lens would be identified as SMC Pentax-M 50mm 1:1.4.

I hope this helps (and also that it was reasonably accurate).

Edit/Update. According to this site Pentax Lenses Explained Pentax also made bayonet Takumar lenses that were not SMC coated as a budget alternative.
