My replaced 16-50, an your opinion about

Hello friends, this my new 16-50 repaired, i would an your opinion about if this is accettaple for 16-60 or not: the right side appears slighty soften in some images:

on tripod, sr disaled:

image 1, 43mm f5

image 2, 43mm f4

image 3 36mm f4 (perfect)

image 4 36mm f4

image 5 50mm f5.6

free hand:

image 1
22mm f3.5 (looks perfect)

image 2 24mm f3.5 (soft on the right)

Any images are soft on the righ, others perfetc in a casual way.
This appears strange to me, the problem is only at infinite focus.
But probably is only my impression.

What do you think? Is accettable for a 16-50?

ps.: location south Italy.

Looks good to me. May be that's a focus plan because of that it's appearing a bit soft on the right.

Can you please post image at 16mm, just like to know if it has any barrel distortion like my tamron 17-50

The aggressive image compression makes it difficult for me to judge absolute sharpness.

Also, in all of the pictures, objects on the right side of the frame are farther away from the camera than are objects on the left side (if that makes sense), so it's hard to compare one side to the other.

Try taking some shots at 90 degrees to a wall, ideally brick construction. Should give you something better to judge.

Sorry, but I don't see much charpeness or contrast anywhere.
Also a bit muddy colors and a lot of purple fringing.
My oppinion: sent it back while you still can.
