Sigma 100-400mm f4.5-6.7 vs DA 55-300mm

I already have the 55-300mm DAL lens that came with my Kx... is there any point in purchasing a sigma 100-300mm f4.5-6.7 zoom? I found one for a song, but not sure it's even worth snagging since I already have the 55-300.

Not worth it at all. When you find an AF lens for a song there is a reason.
