+1 on FA 50 1.4 if it's still made.

If it's not they should make a DA version of it.

My camera bag is big and heavy. Here is my normal list of what lenses are in the bag:
DA15 Ltd
DA21 Ltd
FA31 Ltd or DA35 Ltd Macro The 31 when expecting low ligh and the 35 for when I am expecting a few macros.)
DA*55
DA70 Ltd
DFA100 WR Macro
DA*200
DA*300
DA*16-50
DA*50-135

It is a shame I can not carry more lenses. I would love to use my FA43 Ltd and FA77 Ltd more than I do. The DA*60-250 is a great lens for when I need more flexibility than what the DA*50-135, DA*200 and DA*300 provides.

BH, Adorama, and Pentax Imaging keep getting supplies of them in. They also got in some FA 35 and FA 20-35.
All out of production.
Only the FA 35 was to order since this year direct as new.
We have one last peace, for a to high price of course and it will be the last one.
The 1,4 50mm is longer time out of production. And now officially not to order.
The 35mm is still on stock for a low number of pieces.
Best regards,Andy

I've owned more than I checked, but let them go to better places - so hopefully those folks will log in and check those boxes, so they all get counted..

Thats a lot of Pentax lenses. I hope you got your invite to the Hoya christmas party last year

Do you really carry all those lenses with you? Or do you have a sherpa? The list of ltd primes looks manageable but I can't imagine that much DA* glass in a camera bag....

I always have my trusty 50mm f/1.2 in between the FA31 and FA77 - that lens is a one of a kind also with my bag I can fit my sigma 100-300mm f/4 EX DG APO/Sigma 180mm f/3.5 APO EX Macro.

I only have one so far, the kit lens, mainly because most of the lenses being produced right now by Pentax are just a bit too far out of my budget range to even think about buying them unless maybe I can pick them up used.

I didn't actually get the 18-55 or the 55-300 with my K-x. I've finally gotten the 18-55 kit lens and I'm actually really wanting the 55-300 but I'm likely going to end up buying a Tamron in the same range rather than buy the Pentax. I just can't really justify the extra $$$ it would take to go Pentax instead. I'm sure the Pentax lens is probably better but the Tamron is more in my budget range. I know I'm, probably sacrificing quality a bit for price, but it's just what I'll have to do to be able to get that AF 300MM zoom in my kit.

I really like the kit lens and while I've always been more of a MF vintage lens person having an AF lens or two in the kits is admittedly handy. I'm pretty good with the manual focus thing, but I'm not really fast at it, and I'm admittedly losing some nice bird shots because I can't focus fast enough with my old Vivitar to get the shot. The Vivitar lens is great, but I'm just slow, and I'm finding that I like AF, at least for birding. I'm quite sure the Pentax 55-300MM would help me out even more, but at what they're asking for it it will be a while before I go there.

Yes, it is a lot of lenses to carry. Still I really want those lenses with me when I shot.

I never have gotten an invite to the Hoya Christmas party. I will much rather see them spend money on a DA*8-16/f4.0, DA*135-400/f4.0 or a DA*30/f1.4. Right now Pentax hasn't released anything that interest me for a good while.

I do change around a little. It is either the FA31 Ltd for low light or the DA35 Macro Ltd for geneneral use and macros. I almost never carry both at the same time. On the long end I will take either the DA*200 or DA*300 depending upton my expected subject. If there is a potential for wildlife I will take the 300 otherwise it is the 200. Some times to save space and weight I will leave the DA21 Ltd and DA 70 Ltd at home. The DA*16-50 is very close in image quality to the DA21 Ltd. Same with the DA*50-135 and the DA70 Ltd. Still those two DA Limited lenses are so small they are usually in the bag for when I want to take my time and use prime lenses.

The usual real workhorse of my lenses are the DA*16-50, DA*50-135, DA*55 and the DFA100 WR Macro.

Also in the bag is a Metz 58 flash and two K-5 cameras. So my bag is heavy and I am tiered carrying it at the end of a long day.

Dave

My DA18-55 v1 is out of production but on your list.
My FA50/1.4 is in production but is not on your list.
My DA10-17 is the only production lens on your list.

All my other Pentax AF's are out of production: DA18-250, F35-70, FA100-300 (silver).
I won't buy any more DA's because they are unusable on my Pentax FF film cameras.
Also because I can't afford them. So I am quite happy with my many old MF lenses.

I can't believe so many fell for the DA15. It's not that special.

Well my mixed-up on the DA*300 was brought to my attention, so I hope everyone knows that it is the DA*300mm/f4 and not any f2.8.

On the mystery of the FA50mm/f1.4 that is, I looked at Dimitrov and some of the internetshops overhere, and I think just over a year ago we could still order it, but at the time it is not on the list anymore. So my conclusion was that it wasn't availeble anymore. I know it should be in production, but it was very expensive the last year (400 euro or so).

I see somehow a lot of DA15mm/f4Ltd. lenses, so a they are bundled as members to eachothers since I thought that that was the least sold Limited lens.

Most of my pentax lenses are vintage and therefore out of production. On the list I have the DA-L 35mm; FA 43 and 77 ltd's; DA 12-24; and the 18-55 kit lens. It surprised me to find out how few of my lenses are still in production.

I find it interesting to see what the most popular "current" glass is. The popularity of the kit lens doesn't surprise me, basically it's a freebie, but I'm very surprised at the popularity of the DA 15mm. I wasn't surprised about the popularity of the DA* 50-135, its a very convenient zoom range, but it's companion, the DA* 16-50 isn't doing well at all, I wonder how much of that can be attributed to SDM issues?
Here's something else interesting. The FA 77 ltd is out polling the DA 70 ltd (so far anyway) but the DA 40 ltd is doing much better than the FA 43 ltd. I wonder what's up with that? I would have thought that either the FA ltd's would have been on top or the DA ltd's, but not a mixed result.

NaCl(it would be interesting to see some Pentax numbers on these same lenses)H2O
