Poll is flawed

Your poll is flawed. I tried to vote. Having none of those lenses, I ticked none of the options and the poll rejected my vote. Nil-returns are still valid data, to reject them skews the result of a poll. Just my thoughts, YMMV

I think the DA*16-50 is less frequent because many choose to buy 50-135 first to complement to the kit lens. Then the DA*16-50 uses 77mm filters and for many it is more covenient to buy DA16-45, DA17-70 ot the Tamron.

I can't believe so many fell for the DA15. It's not that special.
It is if you don't want to carry an UW zoom.

Bingo. You can carry ltd primes from 15 to 70mm in less space and weight than a 12-24.

Well this true to some point. Only I'm investigating on Pentax users who did spend money on the above listed lenses and have no interest in outcomes about having legacy lenses or using Tamron/Sigma/Voightlander/Zeiss an anything else that is possible to put on the K-mount, directly or with an adapter.

Well then the 50mm is the missing link, but not to be a problem on the outcome of the above listed lenses.

If it's not they should make a DA version of it.
There is the DA*55. So much better than the old one...

It is optically different designed for a different purpose than the FA50mm/1.4 which doesn't change the fact the FA 50 is still in production for now.

I clicked on the DA 16-45 f/4 because I do own it. But, if I am not mistaken, this lens is now out of production. But NOS versions are probably still available. I'm waiting to see what Pentax does on the mirrorless front before buying more lenses. But I'd like to start adding DA Limited primes soon.

I don't want the only 50 to be weather sealed and SDM. That's BS.

The 50mm macro doesn't seem to be getting much love.

I have some of those lenses but not all are in my bag since I don't use all of them all of the time. Only when I need.
