Where to go for lens repair

Hello to all from the new guy, it's great to be here!

I recently purchased a Pentax 135-600mm F6.7 zoom to compliment my MX. Rather than getting here without any trouble, it was damaged in shipping (all of 200 miles) and will no longer focus to infinity. In addition the zoom is extremely tight and noisy between 250-135mm, sometimes it binds up altogether and has to be cycled back to 600mm a few times to get all the way to 135mm. The Pentax USA site says they won't work on M series lenses anymore, the Pentax UK site says they can fix it if they have parts, but I'd like to get it fixed domestically if at all possible.

Does anyone know of a particularly exceptional lens repair company? I have had several bad experiences with allegedly expert repairmen in the past, so this is quite a distressing situation to be in.
