Just found out that London Drugs have the FA 50mm 1.4 for $250.My local store is bringing one in for me so I will try it out,I know there is a difference of about 25mm between the 50 and the 35 but the 1.4 may be what I am looking for for low light.I admit am a bit of a newbie but am trying to read and learn.

The FA50/1.4 was part of my original (and still most-used) kit with my K20D. I've more recently acquired a 35/2 (Nikkor, modded for PK). The speed difference between 35/2.4 and 50/1.4 is quite appreciable, more so than the AoV difference (about 45 vs 35 degrees). 35mm on an APS-C is a short tele anyway; 50mm is just a bit longer. And I find that I use 50mm MUCH more than 35mm. At the 'normal' end, I'm much more likely to use 28mm than 35mm.

So yes, I heartily recommend that you grab the FA50/1.4, it's a steal at that price now.

+1 Rio - the FA 50 is the best deal in lenses at 250 new.
