I'll throw in some info on the tele lenses... Used to 35-420 range of me last camera i just could not stay with 18-55 kit. And i had no money to get today's autofocus zoom. So i went for old ones, and found myslef a Kiron 28-210 4-5.6 lens (K mount, has A aperture setting). I payed for it about $70. Good thing about this lens, that is is sharp and has almost no distorsions through all of the zoom range! Rarely seen on modern zooms, right?
The digits are as follows -

Out of interest. I have a CZJ 135/3.5 that I bought 20 years ago and I am very pleased with the pictures I get with it. My LBA is pushing me to go for something longer, 200. From what I can tell from watching eBay in the UK is that CZJ 180 is quite rare, similarly any Pentax around this length. But I do see quite a few Pentacons. I wonder what your opinions are about your Pentacon 200, and whether you've got any photos you'll be happy to share taken with it

Sorry for delay, Richard! I'm traveling right now. Pentacon 200 is a good lens, but not a champion like Flektogon. For me, it's only for birds or similar. I am quite satisfied when installed on K100D (AF and SR). I'll send you some photos taken with this lens in a few weeks.

I highly recommend the cheap alternatives with m42 lens. Yes, those are harder to use due to manual focusing and the use of M42 adapters. I have a few blog posts, check and see if they help you.

I have a Schneider 135mm f/3.5 in M42 and I think you can get a m42 135mm f/2.8 for reasonable price, try looking for super takumar 135mm

Albinar 28 mm f/2.8 Macro of 1:4 (in K mount manual focus), I pay $11 in eBay
This is my latest favorite as it has macros that comes in handy in a wider lens for me and I lack macro gear

Super Takumar 35mm f/3.5 in M42 ($30 in pentaxforums marketplace)
This lens is very sharp but it is not too fast but I find it very good in street shooting

Pentacon 50mm f/1.8 in M42
This lens should cost less than $25 in ebay. It is not well known. If you can, try looking for super takumar 55 or 50 mm in f/1.7 to f/1.9 as I recall hearing good results from others
