I highly recommend the cheap alternatives with m42 lens. Yes, those are harder to use due to manual focusing and the use of M42 adapters. I have a few blog posts, check and see if they help you.

I have a Schneider 135mm f/3.5 in M42 and I think you can get a m42 135mm f/2.8 for reasonable price, try looking for super takumar 135mm

Super Takumar 35mm f/3.5 in M42 ($30 in pentaxforums marketplace)
This lens is very sharp but it is not too fast but I find it very good in street shooting

Pentacon 50mm f/1.8 in M42
This lens should cost less than $25 in ebay. It is not well known. If you can, try looking for super takumar 55 or 50 mm in f/1.7 to f/1.9 as I recall hearing good results from others
