I go through phases. Lately, the DA 15 has been my walk around as I have doing a lot of landscape shots. The DA 40 has also been finding a lot of time on camera.
Those are probably my two favorite walk around lenses. Often I go out with one on the camera and one in my pocket!

Mine these days is K200d + Pentax FA28-70mm f4. Next are DA16-45 or FA35 on the same body.

At other times its just a P&S.

For walkaround and knowing I don't want to waste time switching lenses, I'll use my FA 20-35. It's really sharp edge to edge and pretty discrete for street or marketplace candids. If I think I'll have static subjects, I'll carry 2-3 primes.

yep. when shooting film, i often just pack a minolta TC-1 or a Ricoh GR-1s. the ultimate in silence/discretion and super high quality lens.

mine is the DA* 16-50. I have a jumbo camera case that will hold it mounted on a digital body and it has a zipper pouch inside for a spare battery and an extra memory card---and I'm good to go.

Last month it was Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 on K10D
this month it's Pentax FA 35mm f2 on K-5

walking around feels 50% lighter with the new combo!

Before I got a WR set it was the DA-L 35, then I got a k-5 and now I'm more comfortable wtih the 18-55 WR kit lens as I wont have to worry if it rains

These days it is FA 43. When I know I'd need more than one focal length it is Sigma 24-60/2.8.

Usually a 2.8/35 macro Limited, sometimes an old K 1.8/55.

i toss a coin and go with either M 50mm f/1.4 or the sigma 18-50 f/2.8. Sometimes i put the sigma on and throw the 50 in a hoodie pocket, so i get the best of both

although recently, i've found myself throwing the 50 on an old ME body a lot too

My copy DA 18-135mm WR works amazingly well on my a bit temperamental K5 body - almost against the limitations of laws of physics... Compact, WR, fast quite focus and SHARP. Some pics look as good as 50-135mm f2.8 that is much bigger, focuses SLOW compared to 18-135 and eats batteries much faster.

If you are not into zooms, FA 35mm f2 AL is very sharp, fast, fast focusing and compact with natural FOV.

Both are affordable, kinda...
