What is your "Walking Around Lens?"

I saw this question on reddit and thought it would be interesting to see it answered specifically from Pentax users..

If you are just grabbing one lens to do nothing specific, but to have your camera with you and ready, which lens would it be?

For someone new like myself I think your answers will be an education..

Thanks Much
Deborah

That's mostly my Voigtlander 40/2.0.
It represents my natural angle of view.

Pentax SMC 50mm f/1.2 - a very creative bokeh lens when used @f/1.2 but can be brutally sharp at f/2.8 and up, I like that kind of versatility in a lens.

I don't really have one but I'd reach for the DA*16-50 f2.8 for most situations.

If I don't have anything planed I take a zoom with decent range. When I had the kit lens I used that, and now that I have the 18-135 I use that. For casual use I prefer the versatility of a zoom over the optics of a prime. If I feel like it, or if I need to minimize weight I use the da 35 limited prime.

I go through phases. Lately, the DA 15 has been my walk around as I have doing a lot of landscape shots. The DA 40 has also been finding a lot of time on camera.

Used to be A 28mm f2.8, now it's FA 50.

I probably like them both equally... 28 tends to be better for landscapes, 50 does much better portraits.

The K 30. That lens just feels near perfect for me, both to handle, and for use at that focal length. A recently purchased FA 43 may begin to find more time on the mount though.

FA-31 or DA-15 depending on where I'm walking around. I usually have both along.

Lately I've been liking the 18-135 WR. It handles the wide and normal ranges well. It also gives me enough additional reach to keep me from reaching for the 55-300 often. The WR is a bonus on misty days and the DC AF motor has been smooth and trouble-free so far.

Right now, my walk-around lens is an old F 28-80 autofocus zoom. However, this is subject to change without notice. lol

Since I got it a couple of weeks ago, the DA-L 35mm has barely left my camera... Just about equivalent to a fast 50 - what a bargain!!

I carry 3 lenses in my kit with me at all times. Tammy 18-250, FA50 1.4 and Sigma 105 2.8 Macro. The zoom stays on the camera most of the time, the 50 the next most and then the 105. However lately with all the flora etc coming out I've had the 105 on my camera almost exclusively.
