Replacing DA-L 35/2.4 Mount

Just wonderinf if anyone has any experience replacing the plastic mount of the DA-35. I remember reading something about this back when I was researching the lens when I was buying it (and I'm pretty sure it was from these forums) but for the life of me can't find the information anymore...

It should be enough to remove the 6 screws and swap out the bayonet with a replacement piece.

Are the plastic mounts really that easy to wear out?

Maybe he likes 'bling' lenses.

One of the plastics got chipped off exposing some copper bits underneath it. Caused a lot of small plastic particles to go loose inside the chamber actually. I'm not sure how it happened but it happened. I'm guessing the plastic piece was already on its way off when I purchased it (purchased second hand) as I was very careful with it.

I'm going to go look for a replacement piece then if it's that simple to replace. Maybe replace it with a metal mount too while I'm at it, the lens definitely deserves one. I like using it more than my limited!

Get yourself a cheap junker AF zoom lens or put in a request for a dead/damaged af lens and swap it out.
