Very nice. Pentax is probably making a big mistake discontinuing this lens.

It's not discontinued. And that is very impressive, Henry.

I'm very happy to be mistaken then. I saw it at B&H for a closeout price.

Wow... I would never have guessed that was a 100% crop. What a sharp lens.

This doesn't mean Pentax is discontinuing the lens. B&H are not affiliated with Pentax.

Brilliant detail in this image Henry. Thanks for sharing.

Well I just made pictures with FA*85mm at f8 and they also have wonderfull detail on my K-5. So for good lenses the sensor is really amazing.

Nice job on this 31mm!

Mine is K-7. I think I will keep using K-7 for 1 or 2 more years...

BH has it in stock. I doubt BH would quit selling it since they have a hard time keeping it in stock.

fa 31mm

They and Adorama also sell some used gear.

And how can some people around here talk down such a lens?? Those are some very solid proof images that that lens is stunning.

Yes what a lens! Oh, and great photos too

You forget the price tag for this lens as soon as you view the first images from it on your computer. You realise then that even at $1k, it's worth every cent. The bonus is with no SDM we can still be enjoying it a decade from now...

I have to say that when I go to BH and see $899 for the DA* 16-50 or $999 for the FA 31/1.8 ltd, I would be more inclined to drop the cash for the FA!
