OLD Tamron 28-200

Hello everyone,

Does anyone happen to have an old Tamron 28-200 lens? Not Macro and not DI, it's production has stopped in 1999. I have a good deal on my hands for such a lens in a good condition, but i doubt i will be satisfied in it's shooting quality, especially sharpness...
The exact name is Tamron 28-200 1:3.8-5.6. Oh forgot to say, it's the autofocus one, not the manual.

Can anyone tell me something about it? Or preferrably post full-size pictures, taken with it?
