Jupiter9 for me. Totally not what I expected. I'd been looking for a nice 'portrait' focal length 85mm lens and thought this one was it.
Unfortunately, it was not cheap either compared to the earlier days when ppl got this for a few dollars.
Too soft all the way from f2 to f4.

I'd rather pay just a bit more for a M85/2 which I did and have no regrets.

I guess it's probably my 18-135WR, but it's useful enough to keep.

Sigma 35-80
Why: Plasticky, slow(OK outside but not for indoors), wasnt wide enough (on 35mm film)
Why keep it: In 1992 it was the only lens I had . It's currently in a box in the garage. The only reason I havent thrown it out is because I don't know which box it's in!

I dont have much of a lens inventory not anything special. Only have 3 lenses.
I would have to say my Sigma zoom 100-300mm f4.5-6.7.

why?
The starting focal range of 100mm, if i want to shoot something interesting that was closer to me, I have to move back away from the subject, if I have it on I have to dedicate my myself to shooting with. It's also slow.

why I keep it?
I keep it because its reach. I enjoy the lens. I don't hate it at all. Though when I eventually get my 50-200mm WR, it will retire and be shelved.

As sad as it makes me to admit it, I have to say that my worst lens (optically) is the FA*24/2....

But I'd never say it's a bad lens, just has some stiff competition...

I don't keep lenses that I don't like. I had a Sigma 70-300 that was a real dog, but I gave it to my brother and he seemed pleased. I guess he doesn't pixel peep like I do...

I was considering this lens a while back but decided the DA12-24 would suffice at 24mm.

Tammy 18-250, never use it. I only keep it for 2 reasons. Firstly it is good for playing around with focal lengths when looking at new lens purchases. And secondly incase my wife wants to shoot things.

Pentax-A 50mm f/1.7 - why do you ask? it has only five aperture blades, Plastic is the dominant material in it's construction and it is softer in the corners at f/4 than my SMCP-K 50mm f/1.2
Really? Because both 1.7s that I own have 6 blades, and the lens database says it has 6 blades. The wide-angle A series have 5 blades, but the 50 1.7 & 2 have 6. The 1.4 has 8 and the 1.2 has 9

I don’t really have a worst lens. All of my lenses are SMC Pentax from one era or another. They are all good lenses and capable of producing fine images. I do have lenses I don’t use very often. In my case they are older zooms the M 75~150/4 and the M 80~200/4.5.

Pentax Asahi SMC 40-80 f2.8-4 Macro. Ugly and hard to focus. Paid $60 used thinking it would make a good bug lens. It's why I broke down and bought the Tammy 90.

I stand corrected, the A series 50mm f/1.7 does indeed have 6 blades, but the SMCP-K 50mm f/1.2 has 8 - the A series 50mm f/1.2 has 9 aperture blades.

Whichever lens is attached to my camera.

Why? Because I'm not as good at being a photographer as my lenses are at being lenses.

I'm working on it, though.

From a purely optics-related perspective, my DA L 18-55 is my "worst".
