Hi, is anyone familiar with this brand? I have the opportunity to purchase this and i've actually been looking for exactly this length in a prime. And to find one at f/2.8 is amazing to me. I just dont know what the heck a "BECK" is?!!? Is it trustworthy? anyone have experience?

Never heard of it, but if you you want a 135mm, why not a Pentax? I have a pentax M135 f3.5, paid $60 for it, it's my second favorite lens.

Check out the 135's currently available at KEH:

There's a takumar f2.5 for $105 and a couple of M f3.5 for $76.

Yeah i've been eyeing those for a while also. I was just curious about the BECK brand because it says a Max Ap of 2.8 vs the 3.5 of the pentax. didnt know if i somehow ran into a gem or something.

well now that i have someones attention, i've had a question regarding the KEH 135mm f/3.5 lens. On the website, it says theres a 52mm lens diameter version and a 49mm "M" version. Both are SMC. Do you know which one is better?

The SMC M is 49 mm diameter. The 52mm diameter 135 is probably a K. I don't know which is considered better, or if they are considered equal. Maybe someone else knows.

The 135 K lens was produced between 1975 and 1977. The M version was produced between 1977 and 1986. But beyond that I don't know the difference between the two versions.
