Anyone heard of / used this lens???

Hey guys,

I was in my local camera shop today and saw a Sigma 50-200mm f3.5-4.5 'A' lens for £45 (circa. $70 USD). Unfortunately, I can't find much information on it other than someone selling a 'rare' Nikon version of it and the following page: Sigma MF 50-200mm F3.5-4.5 APO Zoom-Eta Multi-Coated ? Pentax-Fremdobjektive-Wiki

Unfortunately, I don't speak german and Google Language Tools doesn't like it either.

Does anyone know anything about this lens or has anyone ever used one?

I heard about this lens in this very forum a few months back.

This thread had a brief discussion, and member aliasant had this to say:

"...I did test this lens against my Viv S1 70-210 Komine version at 150mm.
The Viv had some CA but the sigma had none what so ever and also slightly better contrast and colors. Now I dont know which one to keep. Trying to cut down on the amount of lenses but I probably have to keep em both since they have different strengths"

I have never owned or used one, but I remember that this lens received excellent reviews in german magazines - but that must be nearly 25 years ago.

To compare it to the Viv'ee S1 V3 70~210 - not sure how accurate that persons comparison is, but if it is even close (when I say close, I mean anywhere near it) to it; $70 would be a steal.

Oh... this is good news... the only K-mount stuff I've got is a DA12-24, a DA18-55 and an M50-1.7 so this should go well
