Thanks for the nice comment Nick. I went with my two sons and a nephew last year and we stayed in West Yellowstone. I got up early and drove into the park along the Madison River and got that shot and several wildlife shots, and made it back to the hotel in about an hour. They weren't ready yet when I got back. Yellowstone has so many "photo opportunities" as is so colorful, so unique, and so full of life. I ept the 55-300 on the camera when traveling, and would go wide at the thermal areas. You just have to be ready. At one stop we got a waterfall, canyon, ospreys, bighorn sheep, and a black bear. The one thing we did not see that we wanted to was a moose, that was our only disappointment. If you have the time and opportunity, hit the Buffalo Bill museum in Cody, that was pretty nice.
