Hello, I need a fast prime lens, and I am considering getting either a DA 35mm f2.4, or the FA 50mm f1.4.

Personally 35mm is my favorite focal length, plus the sweet price and review of the f2.4, it is very tempting to me.

So can anyone post some of their best real life bokeh photos from these lenses?
And also please share your opinion on the lenses.
Thank you.
I don't have the 50 but I have the 35/2.4, this shot is at 2.4, 1/13, ISO 400, it's all shiney trophies behind this:

I've posted quite some sample photos here:
https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-slr-lens-discussion/118765-da-35mm...ny-photos.html

Some bokeh shots:

The lens produces slightly smoother bokeh than the highly rated FA35/2, and it is very sharp at F2.4. Best of all, you can use the lens on fullframe film cameras (w/ aperture control on camera body) w/o any problem

Telly, I don't think if this will influence your decision, but...Here are those images I was talking about. This is at f4. In-camera sharpening was set to "soft." I don't know if this was the problem...however, when you see the 100% crop, it may be somewhat informative...

This is the same image, with a bit of processing. I did run some sharpening on it, but not much. The biggest differences are the contrast and colors.

And this is the 100% crop. I think it looks terrible, and I am very disappointed in it. It is really difficult to even tell where the focus is supposed to be.

I am definitely not a pixel peeper, nor am I ever looking to blame my gear for my shortcomings...but...that looks like purple fringing to me. At f4! I don't know if this is normal for this lens. In fact, I may have to start a thread for this to find out more.

Fuent I don't think the lens is to blame - high contrast, right on the edge of the frame, shallow dof.

Pentax 35mm f2.4 on K7, wide open:

Here's an original size shot at 1:1 for pixel-peeping - shot wide open: http://www.flickr.com/photos/28055843@N04/5339740669/sizes/o/in/photostream/

fuent: the image doesn't look bad to me, just some color fringing.
would you provide an image of a "sharp" photo to you?

ihasa: very nice photos, i really like the second one.

Pic

Well, here is a photo I think it much more sharp. However, there are so many different variables that I don't think it's a valid comparison. I did use the sharpening settings in the camera, but there has been no sharpening in post. Actually, there has been no post processing, other than resizing.
