True, and if I recall correctly, with just a single tube on the DA*300 you still can focus over a fairly decent range and have a fair amount of lattitude in terms of magnification.

Yeah, that's how it started last night; I was just curious what it would look like and if I could control the aperture through all 6 tubes. I forgot to add the Vivitar 2X Focusing Macro TC at the end to see if that would work too... guess there's always tonight
