To get 840mm FL and still only be @ f5.6 is very impressive. Fab shots

Yes, you are right 1260mm is the equivalent focal length in the 35mm format

Well sarcasm aside..

Its 840mm whatever you mount it on. Its the FOV that changes between FF/35mm and APS-C isnt it ?

Where does the extra FL come from ?

Jan these are just beautiful shots. I was lucky enough to spend three weeks in Namibia last year. It was an incredible experience, I think about it often. My little 55-300 obviously couldn't scale the dizzying heights of your lens, but I still felt I got some great pics.
