Originally posted by volthord Yep, I realize that now! I will probably end up buying the 10-17, I think. I just realized I really preferred the FishEye distortion when it comes to very wide angle pics, plus it seems not so hard to de-fish some pictures. A lot of people have said things like "I never go without the 10-17" or "that's what brought me here". I'm kind of seduced^^. Additional to that, 17mm does not seem too fisheyed either. The only problem is the price, 500 euros in France, and I don't really know if It won't take some risks buying in the US (Amazon.com is way cheaper, it comes down to 350 euros 0_O)...will look for some threads in the forum.
I was also not into wide angles much.
One day just walking by a market i stopped to see some used gear in self. There this lens was lying , looked brand new. When i came out i had that lens and had no idea what i will do of it.
In fact first few shots that i took, it looked soft that i regretted buying it. But then as days passed, i had some really good pictures with it. This is the lens , i never go out without and because of this thinking of either tamron 10-24 or sigma 8-16 also. Money isn't an issue for me, but still thinking is it worth adding lenses in same range.
But this fisheye is really unique, and i think in long run no one would regret buying it.
