Advice on price of a lens

I'm thinking of buying a used Pentax SMC DA L 55-300mm f/4-5.8ED Lens. What should the top price be so I don't get shafted?

$220 seems to be the average for one in the Lens Review section.

Thanks, being new to this forum I didn't know that all lenses were reviewed with prices. Much appreciated!!

You can always find the lens on ebay and then use the "completed listing" tool to filter the selections and that should give you the prices they've sold for recently.

Don't forget you will need a lens hood (does not come with the DAL version).
