cheap bigma

So, I found a pentax sigma 50-500mm APO DG at a target store. It was an online return (only available online) but they kept it in store and kept selling it at their original price which was $1000.

I noticed the item for the past year then a few days ago they cut all the online return items to half their original price.

So I bought a bigma for $525 including tax. Still, I don't know if I should keep or return it.
Already have 82mm filters but on the other hand I have a 55-300mm and 100-300mm f4.

WIll test it out tomorrow.

thoughts ?

You should return the lens, but return it to me.

Cheers!

You got a Bigma for 50% off and you're not thanking your lucky stars? Return it? That's just crazy. When in your life are you going to get a deal again like that? Keep it and count your blessings, darn it, sheeze!!!! ;P

Major score!!!!!! Keep it, if you don't like it you can sell it here or on ebay and make a few hundred $ over what you paid for it. What LUCK!!!

I also have a 55-300mm and Sigma 100-300mm f4 but my Bigma gets more use than both of those.

Keep it or sell it for more money on the marketplace.

Sell the 55-300, since the 100-300 is better and the 50-500 is for different purpose.

Keep the Bigma and sell me the Sigma 100-300 f/4. Sold mine awhile back and really want to repurchase it!

If it's too big for you, I'll swap my "Lil'Bigma" Sigma APO DG 170-500, like new (US$1k), for yours. This baby weighs about a pound less. A little less mass to schlep around, eh?

I like using the 55-300mm since it's such a small and lightweight lens.

I agree with the others...you would be crazy to return the lens. It is an outstanding lens and the quality it's capable of is fantastic. If you decide to get rid of it then sell it on the marketplace and allow someone else to get a great deal on a great lens.

Isn't it actually 30% off - the Bigma is over $1600 these days. Or is this an earlier version?

Sounded like the earlier version, but more like 65% off if you use the higher number.

If you like nature or airshows you will appreciate 301-500 mm's.
