Aspherical or Not Aspherical 15mm SMC

Hallo,

I own this beautiful item. But Im not sure about construction. Is there anybody knows if aspherical or not?

The review page [ Pentax 15mm F3.5 Reviews ] points to this information page [ Lens Fact Sheet: SMC Pentax-K 15mm ] which doesn't say anything about aspherical elements. I think aspherical elements were very rare when this was made. Maybe someone else here can say for sure.

Afternoon, Take a look at the lens review for this. There is some information there about it may being aspherical....

Afternoon Ralf,

Based on the link that Just1MoreDave posted to Bdimitrov K15mm page, your lens with the "4" in the feet distance scale, along with the serial numbers from the page, probably does have an aspherical element.

Ok, my SMC 3,5 15mm asph shows an very impressive over the field performance. Thanks for the helpful links.
