[langtitle=el]lens for pentax K20D[/langtitle]

Sigma 18-125 χιλιοστών f/3.8-5.6 DC OS HSM Zoom Lens
Pentax SMC DA 18-135mm F/3.5-5.6 ED AL (IF) DC WR φακού
Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM Zoom Lens
Sigma 18-250mm F/3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM Lens Zoom Autofocus

your kit lens is actually quite sharp. just stop down the aperture to about f/5.6-f/8 and make sure your shutter speed is fast enough to not get any motion blur.

if you're really in dire need of a sharper lens, you'll be better off looking at prime lenses

The 17-70 has a good rep...
But with those zoom ranges there are a lot of tradeoffs...personally i don't like them... and would advise to look into the Tamron f2,8 family, wich is very well priced and has got great quality.
I own the 28-75 f2,8 and i find the zoom range very very would sit a lot more on the camera if i was not addicted to my siggy 8-16.

You can look some samples of the tammy quality in the tamron threads, or serching the lens in Flickr.

To add to the previous posts, it would be useful if you could clarify your needs.

You listed some zooms with focal lengths overlapping your 18-55mm.

A number of options includes:

- Go for an all-around lens like
Pentax DA18-250mm/Tamron18-250mm (2nd hand)
Sigma 18-250mm OS HSM
The former is very well regarded and cna be quite easily purchased from the PF Marketplace, Buy & Sell New & Used Cameras ? Canon, Nikon, Hasselblad, Leica & More - or Digital cameras, all other cameras and everything photographic from Adorama Camera (Used equipment). The latter is more expensive and the OS is redundant with the camera SR.

Both lenses will not show a drastic improvement in IQ but the focal length range is awesome.

- Go for a series of prime lenses with outstanding IQ. Pentax has some outstanding lens series including:
+ the FA Ltd series
+ the DA Ltd pancake series

Any lens from one of these series will have a huge IQ enhancement compared to the kit lens.

Hope that the comment will assist....

Know the limitations of your current kit, then decipher whether you need more than what your gear is capable of before thinking of upgrading. The kit lens is a very decent little lens, and very sharp at f/8.

I'd suggest the DA 55-300 to be used along with your existing kit lens. The combination of these 2 will have better image quality than any of the single lenses you listed.

It would help if you posted some pictures you aren't happy with. Most likely, it's a matter of technique that would improve your pictures, not a new lens. To be sure, there are sharper lenses out there than the 18-55, but nothing on your list would make a noticeable difference. And really, even the sharpest lenses - none of which would be zooms with more range thant the 18-55 - would only show a noticeable difference when pixel peeping at 100%. You wouldn't be able to tell in a typical print or viewing normally on screen.

για τον παρακάτω φακό τι λέτε?

Tamron AF XR 28-75mm f/2.8 lense

στα φόρουμ διάβασα οτι μερικοί φακοί
Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4 DC Macro OS HSM Zoom Lens
