So finally got my second limited. Its awesome, love it. Got a question though, I noticed that with the lens fully extended (focused at the closest distance) the 15mm is solid as. The 70mm on the otherhand is quite loose and can hear metal banging against each other. Is this normal or just bad luck on my part? Luckily the lens seems to be fine and no issues besides that minor annoyance.

My DA 70 Limited also has a "wobbly" barrel. Was a bit worried when I first got it but haven't noticed any problems so now I don't think about it.

I think I read somewhere that you can send it in for service and they can tighten it but that sometimes they might tighten i a bit too much and it gets hard to focus.

Good to hear

I bought it grey so wont likely have it serviced for a while. My OCD+LBA was starting to kick in and was thinking of selling it and replacing it with an FA77.

I disected mine, just to have a look, its quite normal with some play from the barrel. Its tolerances in the focus threads. They're made so that there should be as litle resistance/friction as possible.

However, IF the focus ring is loose, you've got a problem.

Mine wobbles as well. Got to learn to live with it. As long as it's not affecting image quality or AF speed/ accuracy, I don't fret.
