Hello everyone.

Elicar Automatic 1:3.5 f=135mm

Anyone know anything on this Elicar lens. I am fully aware of the famous 90mm 2.8 but cant find anything on this 135mm 3.5 model. In searching the lens review archives I find on elabeled Tokyo Togaku(Topcor) 135mm f3.5 which looks awefully close in the style of the case. Are these the same? Internet search also did not reveal anything on this Elicar. Thank you all for any feedback.

This might be the Komine build sister lens to the very desirable and rare Komine/ Vivitar 135"Close Focus" (Identified with ser nos 28XXXXXX and engraved Close Focus)

I'm just guessing here as Elicar did a lot of business with Komine it would appear.

Here is the 135s Vivitar branded and the makers which might help in your search:

Vivitar 135mm f/1.5 professional T-mount
Vivitar Series 1 135mm f/2.3 (made by Komine)
Vivitar 135mm f/2.5 TX (made by Tokina)
Vivitar 135mm f/2.8 (made by Komine)
Vivitar 135mm f/2.8 close-focusing 1:2 Macro (made by Komine)
Vivitar 135mm f/2.8 T4 & TX (made by Tokina)
Vivitar 135mm f/3.5 T4 (made by Tokina)

Elicar was also a marketer and not a manufacturer as I understand it. To further confuse things some of the branders changed the F numbers slightly as Elicar and others did with the 90mm i.e. f2.5 was the same as f 2.8.
