Pentax 12-24 f4 vs. Tamron 10-24 f3.5-4.5

I'm needing a good ultra-wide zoom for interior shots (I'm a custom home builder by trade). I'm having trouble deciding between the Tamron 10-24 and the Pentax 12-24.

I've shot them both and I prefer the Pentax.

I happen to like my Tamron 10-24. At the wide end, 10mm is substantially different from 12mm; and at the long end, 24mm is really good to have -- compared, say, to the Sigmas. From your research, what do you think are the pros and cons?

Do you want straight-out-of-camera JPEGs? If so, you should pick the Pentax, because the camera can remove the barrel distortion in-camera with Pentax-brand lenses. It can't with 3rd party lenses such as the Tamron.

Barrel distortion is very visible in interior shots and ultrawides have a lot of it.

I believe the Sigma 8-16 is best for your needs. not that I don't love my 12-24, but you would appreciate the additional wideness of the Sigma for interior shots.
