There is no cure to LBA.
I told myself I will not buy any after I completed the FA ltd trio.... then I wanted to complete the DA ltd series.... then started the DA* series...
not to mention the silver version of FA ltd and DA ltd...

then you have the FA* prime series...
the 50mm prime series...

there is no end! ><

Guess am not the only one who lusts after good glass ... after all, that's why we are in the Pentax family, right ?
My next lens will be a DA70 ... that I know. However, I have to take it easy. Just like a starving man who discovered food, I can't afford to gorge away !
Would definitely be unhealthy for my wallet !!

The problem isn't so much the marketplace as it is the lens clubs. When I look at the awesome photos taken with various lenses, it makes me want them. So many people are like "pushers" with their favorite lenses and I just know that if I got the lens that they are pushing, then my photos would look like theirs.

At the same time, I prefer the marketplace to e bay any day of the week. Trustworthy people selling well maintained equipment, often for reasonable prices. What more could you ask for?

You should look at the FA*85mm/f1.4 club that is a nice place to be in.

Funny thing is that I buy my lenses out of a need and not for some collecting.

Ten lenses a day is about the maximum. More than that, they become unmanageable.

well, I find I am quite satisfied after acquiring 16-50 and 50-135...it cover I think 95% the usage...the other 5% I missing would be a fisheye and a telephoto...and sometimes I need a superzoom for general outdoor shooting and video...but I am still fine without them now...
so knowing what u need. for example, prime would never be my style..so nomatter how good it is, I would better spend on other camera gear that I really need. unless I am really too rich.....

I think that a max of 9 lenses is okay. With double didget you have to go see a docter.
I agree and to many lenses wonīt be used.

I have currently 6 in use (5 primes + 50-135) and 3 for "backup". I was in a similar situation than you and stopped myself buying a FA77 and was "granted" a Takumar 85mm 1.8 instead without wanting it (couldnīt resist as it was a great offer in a local shop, happening very rarely). This was my last add-on and now I will continue only to replace lenses (as I already did).
My lineup is 8mm fishy, 15mm ltd, 35mm best price, 50mm 1.7 plastic wonder, 85mm good old portait, 50-135mm weight in my bag + 1.7x Adapter and should cover everything, at least if I throw in my extension tubes if needed.

My 3 Backup lenses are:
18-55 WR I only have, because I want a rain proof lens in this range
Sigma 70-300 that I might replace after winning in the lottery by a DA*200. Only needed for an annular flight show mainly.
Tamron 28-75 that is on my girlfriends K20, that happens to be my backup camera
