However, if you were to try the same shot 90 degree from where you took it, my question is how well would the lens focus with your son moving towards you as you tried to take the shot.
Beautiful shot but I second dgaies. If you rotate for 90 degree, it might be a different story.

I've been using the 50-135 with a K10D, K-r and now a K-5 for shooting moving targets
Lovely girl!
Did you notice any speed difference between these bodies? That's what I am fell curious the most. Do you use AP-S or AP-C?

Yeah it probably will be a completety story if taken 90 degrees, and would be for most other lenses too i would expect.

Next time im at the park with son and DA*55 I will see what it can do.

I'm no expert but I have to say that all my lenses seem to work better with the K-5. I know the K-5 is a big step up from previous models and I was pleased with my lenses prior but now I just like them even more than before.
I totally agree with the member that suggested rental. It's a great way to really try it out and see if it meets your needs.
Good luck....

The K-5 is faster for sure, but I've shot successful photos with the K10D. Oh...and I use AP-S.
