OZ Members, FA 31mm purchase

As indicated a few threads ago I ordered a FA 31mm Limited lens from Oztion through a Hong Kong supplier, Ashawed Quality Products. The lens arrived via UPS courier today. Brand new in box with all the bits and an updated Chinese version of the Pentax FA Interchangeable Lens Operating Manual.

I saved AUS$300 compared to the cheapest price in Oz. Obviously there is no CR Kennedy warranty attached but the Australian seller claims to warrant for 12 months

Anyway I have now completed the current LBA (Three Sisters, Tamron 90mm macro and Pentax FA28-105 f3.2 etc zoom) to set me up for an extended four to five year road adventure in Oz, (the last one was 4.5 years completed 12 months ago MZ-5n, *istD and old lenses). This one starts end Feb 08.

It probably sounds silly after 50 years of photography but I will need to work on the decision process re when to use which limited lens! I have already found that it isn't an automatic process. In particular, the 31 and 77 are far enough apart but the 43 could become and expensive orphan if one wasn't careful, even given that it produces beautiful macros when reversed..

Take Care

David

Sounds like a heck of a good deal. I'm looking forward to seeing the travel album of your beautiful country.

Does LBA ever completely go away???

I was trying to decide where to visit in my next trip around January (holding off new zealand trip atm because of budget)

After using da* 16-50 for my las trip, I think I might stick to the primes instead. More to my liking.

Fa 31 ltd is certainly on my list. This time, I am going to use it on film as well.

No Peter, the 12-24 wouldn't be a bad idea for 08
