It would be more productive to use something smaller in diameter, perhaps closer to 0.3006 inches

but getting back to the OP's initial question, I for one don't see where he is going.

he has a 28-75F2.8 so a 90mmF2.8 is not all that different in any significant area,

a 50F1.4 I can understand, but only for shots where he wants to have the thin FOR of the 50mm lens when used at between F1.4 and F2.8. Otherwise he is gaining nothing over the tammy.

received my Sigma 50mm 1.4 today.. combined with my Tamron 28-75 great addition to my collections. Thank you all..!!!
