I'll chime in again. No regrets with my Tammy 17-50.

When I'm only taking one lens indoors or at night, this is it. Matched with a K-x/K-r/K-30/K-5 I'd be hard-pressed to think of a smaller/lighter/more versatile combination from any maker(s).

I owned and loved (and lost) the FA31. If I were an artist, that is what I would own. Lovely rendering of reality. I photograph for fun and posterity. I always loved photography, but kids (still both under 10) happily forced my hand. For my needs, Tamron 17-50.
