Tamron Adaptall 58A

I just got this lens in a bunch of stuff I picked up on ebay and can't seem to get my K20 to recognise the aperature value from the lens like it does with other 'A' aperature glass. It seems to register with my P3N but I don't want to burn a roll of film just to see if it works. I'm assuming that if it doesn't register on the K20 that the camera is not adjusting the aperature. Is that correct?

There have been several discussion here about the failure rate of the adaptall K/A mounts and the tricks to get them to work, search the threads and visit the lens club for the adaptall lens users for further discussion on this.
